Admission of international applicants
International applicants can be admitted to SPbU both to places:
As specified in the Governmental decree of Russian Federation (№ 2150 as of December 18, 2020 «On Establishing an Education Quota for Foreign Nationals and Stateless Citizens in the Russian Federation»), foreign citizens are provided an opportunity to take part in an Competition for state-funded educational places at Universities in Russian Federation, including SPbU (funded from the budget of Russian Federation). Information about order of admission will be available in the section «For applicants on government-funded basis» in the terms defined by the Government of the Russian Federation.
St. Petersburg State University continues its series of information meetings with international applicants. To make information as accessible as possible to applicants around the world, we hold information meetings not only in Russian, but also in English, Spanish, Italian, German, Arabic and Chinese. Applications to places on the government-funded basis will be accepted from 15 November 2021 to 28 February 2022.
From November to December 2021, SPbU will hold a series of online events «Informational meetings with international applicants of St Petersburg University». Representatives of the University will help you explore its educational and research opportunities, variety of main educational programmes, and details of admissions for foreign nationals, stateless citizens, and compatriots residing abroad.
An online tour around the PIK research reactor facility will be held within the event. The PIK reactor was commissioned on February 8, 2021 and is designed as the highest neutron radiation flux source in the world.
Applications for non-degree programme ‘Preparatory Course (for international citizens)’ are still accepted at St Petersburg University.
