Regulations for an Open Competition Among International Applicants, Stateless Citizens and Compatriots Residing Abroad to Obtain State Scholarships to Study at SPbU in 2018

How to submit your documents:

  1. Register for a Personal Account  through the SPbU Admissions Committee website
  2. Fill in, print and sign your application for admission to one or several educational programmes (no more than three programmes).
  3. Submit your signed application and the supporting documents electronically through your Personal Account.

The list of required documents:

  • an application for admission to an educational programme of the appropriate level in the format established by the Admissions Committee (filled in upon registration for the Personal Account.
  • A questionnaire for your participation in the competition filled in block letters and provided with a colour photo
  • a copy of your identity document. Please note that the applicant’s passport should be valid for at least 18 months after the beginning of the planned study period.
  • a medical certificate on absence of contraindication against studying
  • a medical certificate on the absence of the HIV virus and AIDS
  • the original or a copy of your educational credential and supplements thereto
  • 4 (four) photographs 3×4 cm

Documents for the portfolio competition must be submitted anonymously. An essay and a motivation letter should be written in a language of the program.

Lists of applicants sorted by name, who have successfully passed the competitive selection will be published at the official website of the  SPbU Admissions Committee on or prior to 2 July 2018.

1The filled in questionnaire personally signed by the applicant must be scanned and uploaded through the applicant's Personal Account. Only St Petersburg State University must be specified in Clause 25 thereof. Do not fill in Clauses 30 and 31.

2The educational credentials have to be as follows:

  • legalised if required
  • recognized in the Russian Federation (to have either a recognition certificate or an equivalence certificate if required)
  • If your educational credentials will be issued from 8 June 2018 to 1 October 2018, you may submit a statement from the educational organisation (pursuant to Clauses 6.3, 7.3, 8.3 of the Regulations for an Open Competition).
